                  APRIL  ABRIL

1.  Getting organized means a kid gets where he or she needs to be and collects the supplies needed to finish the work.

2.  Staying focused means sticking with the job.

3.  Getting it done means finishing up, checking your work, and remembering to put homework inside the backpack so it's ready for the next day.

Once kids know these steps they can start tackling tasks on their own. That means homework, chores, and other tasks will get done better and faster. Of course, kids will still need help and guidance.

We need to teach these skills so kids know how to get stuff done and this will help them feel better. Kids feel proud when they're able to get work done. They're also sure to be pleased when they find they have some extra free time to do what they'd like to do.

Para los niños, las tareas escolares se pueden dividir en un proceso 1-2-3.

1.  Organizarse significa un niño llega donde él/ella tiene que ir  y recoge lo necesario para terminar su trabajo.

2.  Mantenerse enfocado quiere decir que el estudiante se mantiene enfocado en el trabajo.

3. Terminar el trabajo quiere decir terminar la tarea, revisar la tarea y ponerla en la mochila para que esté lista para el próximo día.

Una vez que los niños saben esos pasos ellos pueden empezar a hacer las tareas por su cuenta.  Eso significa que los deberes, tareas de casa y otros proyectos se llevaran a cabo mejor y más rápido.  Por supuesto qué los niños todavía necesitan ayuda y orientación.

Tenemos que enseñar estas habilidades para que los niños sepan cómo hacer la casas y esto  les ayudará a sentirse mejor. Los niños se sienten orgullosos cuando son capaces de realizar su trabajo. También quedará completamente satisfecho cuando descubren que tienen algo de tiempo  extra libre para hacer lo que les gustaría hacer.

Monday, April 13 - Friday , April 17 ~ Kindergarten through 2nd grade testing

• It is important for the  students to be on time for school during these testing days.   There is also an afternoon session with this test, so parents should avoid picking students up early if at all possible. 

Wednesday, April 15 ~ Early Release Day (School dismisses at 12:50)

Friday, April 17 ~ Career Day in 1st grade

Tuesday, April 21~ Kindergarten Screening-Scheduled Appointments-Call our Secretary

Saturday, April 25 ~ District Pre-K Screening held at Diggs-Latham 8:00-5:00

Thursday, April 30 ~ Family Fitness Night from 6:00-7:30pm

Lunes, 30 de marzo - Viernes, 03 de abril ~ vacaciones de primavera ~ no hay clases

Sábado, 11 de abril ~ Honores ejecutan clase que participa en una carrera de 5K

Lunes, 13 de abril ~ Noche en Dairi-O  5: 00-8: 00

Lunes, 13 de abril - Viernes, 17 de abril ~ Evaluaciones de Kindergarten a pruebas segundo grado

• Es importante que los estudiantes lleguen a tiempo a la escuela durante estos días de evaluaciones. También hay una sesión de pruebas en la  tarde , por lo que les pedimos cordialmente que traten de no recoger/sacar de la escuela a los estudiantes antes de la salida regular .

Miércoles, 15 de abril ~ Día de salida temprana (Escuela termina a las 12:50)

Viernes, 17 de abril ~ Día de Carreras en 1er grado

Martes, 21 de abril ~ Evaluaciones para Kindergarten -citas programadas-Llame a nuestra secretaria

Sábado, 25 de abril ~ Evaluaciones distritales para Pre-K en Diggs-Latham 8: 00-5:00

Jueves, 30 de abril ~Noche de ejercicio para la familia  de 6: 00-7: 30pm

 

Registering children for kindergarten is essential. 

Here are the requirements for kindergarten:

Please come and pick up enrollment packet at Diggs-Latham Main Office. See Mrs. Wolfe if you have questions.

• immunizations-up to date
• birth certificate
• Students must turn 5 by August 31st

Estos son los requisitos para registrarlos:

• ·         Por favor, venga y recoja el paquete de inscripción en la Oficina Principal Diggs-Latham. Ver la señora Wolfe si tiene preguntas.
• ·         Vacunas al día
• ·         Certificado de nacimiento
• ·         Los estudiantes deben cumplir 5 años  antes del  31 de Agosto 2015

Mark your calendars if you have rising kindergarteners:    

Kindercamp will be held Tuesday, August, 4 through Thursday, August 6. 

Marque su calendario si usted tiene un niño que va a estar en kínder el próximo año.

El kindercamp será del el martes, agosto, 4 hasta el jueves, 6 de agosto.
