Estimados Padres! Hemos creado este blog para mantenerlos informados de todos los eventos y sucesos en Diggs-Latham. Nuestro deseo es que ustedes lo utilicen. DASH FOR CASH FUN RUN-We had a wonderful time on Saturday as 25-30 of our students and their families participated in a Fun Run to benefit the Trinity Center. Our students registration fees were paid for the the generous donations from Green Street Church. Our kids participated in a run, cookout and fun games. They were then transported downtown to watch the Dash Baseball Game. Cash prizes were given to the school who had the most paid entrants. Diggs-Latham won First Prize, $1200. for our school. I am so proud of the students who participated. Thank you also to Ms. Frazier, Ms. Studevent and Mrs. Martinez who helped with the organization and chaperoning during the event.
DASH FOR CASH FUN RUN – Tuvimos un rato maravilloso el sábado, ya que entre 25 y 30 de nuestros estudiantes y sus familias participaron en una Carrera a beneficio del Trinity Center. El valor de la participación de nuestros estudiantes fue pagado por la generosa donación de la Iglesia Green Street. Nuestros niños participaron en una carrera, en la comida al aire libre y en juegos divertidos. Después ellos fueron llevados al centro de la ciudad a ver un Juego de Béisbol Dash. Se dieron premios en efectivo a la escuela que tuviera más participantes. Diggs-Latham se ganó el Primer Premio de $1200 para nuestra escuela .Me siento muy orgullosa de los estudiantes que participaron. Gracias también a la Sta. Frazier, a la Sta. Studevent y a la Sra. Martínez, quienes ayudaron con la organización y el acompañamiento durante el evento.
READING-Parents, it is so very important that ALL of our children are reading every night. Please model good reading habits and encourage your children to read. Teachers will be sending home take home readers as the year progresses.
LECTURA: Padres, es muy importante que TODOS nuestros niños lean todas las noches. Por favor enséñenles buenos hábitos de lectura y animen a los niños para que lean. Los maestros les enviaran lecturas para la casa a medida que el año avanza.

September 20th-Title I Annual Parent Meeting and PTA 6:00-7:00
September 24th Volunteer Orientation
Parking-Please be sure to park legally and do not block anyone in when picking up and dropping off students. Students should be dropped off at the curb and not allowed to walk through the parking lot. It is very dangerous! We also need your help in not filling up cafeteria tables in the morning. We need all available seats for children. Our enrollment has grown to over 500. Please drop your child at breakfast and gives kisses and hugs and say goodbye. Thank you, this will help us to get kids to class on time.
We truly thank you for your help in solving this on-going problem.

Estacionamiento -Por favor asegúrense de estacionar correctamente y de no bloquear a nadie cuando esta trayendo o recogiendo a los estudiantes. Los estudiantes deberán ser dejados en la curva y no se les debe permitir caminar por el estacionamiento. !Es muy peligroso!
También necesitamos su ayuda para que no llenen las mesas de la cafetería por la mañana. El número de matriculados ha crecido casi a 500 y necesitamos todas las sillas para los niños. Por favor dejen a sus niños desayunando, denles besos y abrazos y díganles adiós. Gracias. Esto nos ayudará a que los estudiantes esté en clase a tiempo.
